Your Carbon Footprint
Many people are concerned that they are contributing to worldwide pollution and global warming. Your travels typically impact the planet more than anything else you do. The exhaust from our automobile tailpipes, planes, and trains is choking some of our major cities by spewing carbon and other pollutants into the air. This carbon is also believed to be contributing to climate change and the pending climate crisis brought on by global warming.
Your Carbon Credit Offsets
Until now there has been no way for an individual to mitigate or offset the amount of carbon that they are generating and no way to help to reverse pollution or global warming. GreenEnergy is dedicated to providing a way that you can offset your carbon impact on the earth. Carbon credits are useful for offsetting your carbon footprint and can help reverse climate change mechanisms.

For the average driver, to offset your automobile travels for 1 year, you could plant just 20 trees. What Your Carbon Offset Does
You may choose how you want to impact the planet by selecting which of these Green Energy carbon offsets you support. Unless you choose how you want to make your impact, your offset is distributed among the following earth-friendly projects:
1) Tree replenishment (Arborist International)
Your carbon credit will be used to plant life-giving trees in North and

GreenEnergy has partnered with several national and international wind energy manufacturers and wind-power projects. We research and track our investments in clean renewable energy to make sure the impact on the planet is positive.
3) Alternative Transportation: (Agee’s bicycle initiative, support public transportation, GRTC, DC Metro Subway or buses)
The aim here is to reduce the consumption of gasoline and therefore you are clearing the air by reducing or offsetting the amount of carbon pumped out into the air.
4) Alternative Energy Research & Carbon Offset Projects
Green Energy was founded in 2001 by engineers and friends of the planet dedicated to making a positive impact on our environment. We rely on these individuals and their network of colleagues to search out the best ways that you can offset your carbon footprint.
5) Reduce Energy Usage & Fossil Fuel Consumption (fluorescent bulb conversions, gas saving devices)
Reducing our use of fossil fuels greens our planet. This can be done in a number of ways. Changing out incandescent bulbs for fluorescent ones reduces lighting energy usage by 1500% (e.g. one bulb uses 4 watts instead of 60 watts).
An increase of only 10% in gas mileage would result in a savings of 55 gallons of gasoline per year for an average driver. (12000mi/20mpg=600gal-12000/22=55gal). Supporting telecommuting initiatives, flex schedules, four day work weeks, and work-from-home alternatives saves fossil fuels used in commuting to and from work.
6) AMI: Automated Metering Initiatives.
We support utility efforts to provide real-time pricing and ways that consumers of electricity can make smart choices. Our team is intimately involved in these efforts on a wide scale. If your electric utility offers a "smart meter" jump on it. This is a great way that you can be smarter about your energy use plus you could save a bundle.
